Dr. Dabber Aced Portability With This E-Rig
Let’s get the positioning straight first: XS is a portable e-rig. It’s not a dab pen, but it’s not a desktop unit either. It sits in its specific lane—portable enough to pocket, water-filled enough to produce thick vapor, and precise enough that terp heads actually care about it. That’s exactly what I love about it, especially at the price point of $159.95.
The cherry on top of the portability cake is the glass attachment design. The
glass bubbler attachment is seated on the side, which means water stays at the bottom of the chamber while vapor travels up and over. Even when you tip it, nothing gets into your mouth.
Anti-spill glass on a device this small is not a given, and Dr. Dabber actually pulled it off. The only downside I see here is that the top is threaded, not magnetic, like on Boost EVO, which I kinda got accustomed to.
Quartz Atomizer for Great Vapor Quality
Give it up for another Dr. Dabber device with a
quartz atomizer. Man, I love these chambers, and I was so happy to see one on this dab rig. Direct quartz-to-glass vapor pathway really makes a difference when it comes to flavor, but also vapor quality. Carb cap and tether help, too, creating a tight seal for thicker hits. At this size, XS packs quite a punch when it comes to vapor.
4 Temp Modes: From 475°F to 625°F
Let’s talk temperature. It takes this thing about 8-12 seconds to heat up, which is pretty fast. It’s a single-button operation—you press it five times to turn it on, then 3 times to switch between temp modes.
You can choose between 4 pre-set heat settings:
- Purple (475 °F): Best for maximum flavor and preserving delicate terpenes.
- Blue (525 °F): A balanced sweet spot for flavor and moderate vapor.
- Cyan (575 °F): Ideal for larger loads and maximizing vapor production.
- Green (625 °F): Maximum heat setting, recommended for large amounts of concentrate and thick clouds.
If you press it one time, you’ll see what heating cycle you’re on. 625 °F is already pretty powerful for a portable dab tool, but that’s not all. Dr. Dabber gave us an Easter Egg feature, and I am here for it.
