Is It a Dab Pen or an E-Rig That Fits Your Pocket?

When you first look at this thing and its features, you’re gonna ask yourself—What is this? Is this a dab pen or is it an e-rig? The truth is, it’s more than a dab pen, but less than an e-rig, power-wise, so it’s somewhere in the middle. That alone makes Ghost 2 much better than other wax pens on the market.

Five Temperatures, 1 Button

I like my portable vaporizers easy to use, and I’m happy to report that Dr. Dabber has delivered that. Ghost 2 has only one button, and you control everything with that one button. That includes the five temperature modes that range from 420°F to 540°F.

• Violet (420°F): The terp setting. Smoothest, most flavor-forward. This is where I spend most of my time with good concentrates.
• Dark Blue (450°F): A little more vapor, still flavor-dominant. My go-to for rosin.
• Blue (480°F): The balanced zone. Good mix of flavor and production. Solid all-day setting.
• Yellow (510°F): You’re starting to chase clouds now. Flavor is still there, but vapor production takes over.
• White (540°F): Maximum output. Big, thick hits. Flavor takes a back seat. This is the “I need to get there fast” setting.

That’s already a lot of power for a portable vape pen, but it’s not the only thing that sets Ghost 2 apart.

Dynamic Heating Profiles No Other Dab Pen Has

One of my favorite things about Switch 2 and Dr. Dabber is the dynamic heating modes. You can really tell that the brand invests in R&D and is dedicated to bringing innovation to the culture instead of just replicating what’s already out there.

If you’re like me, you’ll be happy to hear that Ghost 2 has the same dynamic heating profiles:

• Steady mode: Keeps the temperature consistent throughout the session.
• Ascent mode: Starts at low temps, then increases near the end and burns it out.
• Descent mode: Starts off strong, then cools down to really soak the flavor.

This feature already puts Ghost 2 well above the competitors because I don’t know of any other pen that does that.

So…What’s the Deal With Ghost 2 Vapor?

You heard the mixed reviews on the vapor, and I did, too. After trying out the device, I have to say that the vapor is pretty thick…for a dab pen. It beats the alternatives for sure, but it’s no Switch 2. But it was never supposed to be a portable Switch 2, and that’s the thing.

If you compare it to Switch 2, you’ll find it lacking, but if you look at it for what it is, you’ll be more than happy with it.

The only real downside I could find to this vaporizer is the fact that it’s got a ceramic chamber instead of a quartz one, like Switch 2 has. I’m still holding out hope they’ll release the sapphire version, as they did for XS.

What I do love about the chamber is that it’s got even heating, which means the entire chamber heats up. Not just from the bottom, but from the sides, too.
