This past summer, I was going through it. I was paralyzed by negative thoughts surrounding cancer: my diagnosis and two people I love dearly, my 87-year-old grandmother and my mother-in-law, who sadly lost her battle. Suffice to say, my executive dysfunction was at an all-time high, and I was not well, mentally or physically.

Knowledge Brands Golden Capsule

I started my experiment with Knowledge Brands’ Golden Capsule first. The morning I took it, I spent a little time meditating to set my intention for the day. I wanted to connect with my coworkers and patients on a deeper level. After my conversation with Knowledge Brands founders, the word that kept coming into my mind was synergize.

I took this capsule at a great time. I went into work for my second shift at the dispensary after being out of town for a couple of weeks. My team was so excited to have me back. That energy, combined with the product, had me feeling like I was downright floating around in a warm, sunny cloud.

Like many of us, my coworkers are all dealing with their own unique struggles. That day in particular, one of my friends was really struggling. We sat down together for about 15 minutes and talked through some pretty heavy feelings. By the time we were finished, we both seemed to feel significantly lighter.

Somehow, the rest of the day just kept flowing in a beautiful synergistic way.

Not only did all of my favorite patients come into the dispensary to shop, leading to some amazing interactions… I also worked with three patients whose wellness journeys I’ve had the privilege of watching firsthand. Seeing experiences like that firsthand—watching just how powerful this plant can be in people’s lives—is easily one of the most fulfilling parts of working in the cannabis industry.

Overall, it was just a magical day. It was nothing over the top or groundbreaking, but I felt open, connected, empathetic, present, and incredibly grateful.

Knowledge Brands Ophelia Chocolate

I utilized the Ophelia Chocolate on one of my days off, with a completely different intention: connect with nature.

It had been raining in Georgia for weeks, and my day off was the first in a long time when it was 80 degrees and sunny. I hadn’t really been able to get outside and enjoy myself in about three weeks, so the timing was perfect.

It’s funny when these lil’ guys start to take effect; you can’t help but notice the shine on everything. I mean everything.

Downtown Savannah is filled with these massive, old, ridiculously majestic oak trees. As I made my way through town, everything around me looked like it was shimmering. The trees, the sunlight, the leaves—everything just seemed a little more alive. More vibrant.

When I arrived at the beach, I purposefully parked a couple of blocks away because I wanted to walk past one of my favorite houses. It has this huge, incredible garden. Because it’s still warm here, the flowers were all in bloom and opened up toward the sun. I must have stopped and smelled nearly every single one as I walked by.

And then I got to the ocean. The water was sparkling like diamonds. I lay there in the sand by the water with my book and stayed for the entire afternoon. It was simple. It was beautiful. And I was completely there for it.

Creating a Moment of Calm in a Chaotic Life with Knowledge Brands

My two experiences with Knowledge Brands products were different, but they ultimately brought me to the same place: connection and presence. The capsule seemed to deepen my connection with other people, while the chocolate gave me this beautiful opportunity to slow down and reconnect with the natural world around me.

What impressed me most actually came afterward. The experience didn’t simply disappear when the day ended. After each dose, I noticed lasting feelings of gratitude and joy that stayed with me for about three days.

And for me, that lingering sense of connection—to people, to nature, and to simply being present in my own life—was probably the most meaningful part of the entire experience.
