This event directly benefits Freedom Grow, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals still incarcerated for nonviolent cannabis offenses. While legal markets expand and profits climb, thousands remain behind bars for the very same plant now celebrated on stage. The goal of the night is simple and urgent: to raise awareness and funds to provide immediate commissary support for those still paying the price of outdated laws.
No one should be in prison for cannabis. Period.
At the center of it all is Jake Boynton, also known as Bake Joynton, CEO and Founder of Seshn Events and bassist and founder of The Seshn Band. His vision is what’s driving this entire movement forward: “This isn’t just about putting on a great show, it’s about building something bigger than a moment. Cannabis and music have always shared the same energy, the same community, but no one’s really created a space where that connection can thrive in a meaningful, intentional way. With Seshn Events, we’re bringing the culture, the business, and the purpose into the same room…so people can have an unforgettable night, make real connections, and be part of something that actually moves things forward.”
The Fat Nugs Magazine team is bringing its signature Faces of Cannabis activation to Boston for the first time, in collaboration with Melting Point Extracts (MPX) and Cheetah. This is Fat Nugs Magazine’s cultural archive in real time. Raw, human, unfiltered moments captured through a lens that understands the plant and the people behind it. The result? Some of the most powerful images to come out of the cannabis space in the last couple years; photos that live far beyond the night itself, circulating across social media, publications, and platforms for months.
Dustin Hoxworth, Founder of Fat Nugs Magazine, shared his excitement: “This is one of those nights I’ll likely be talking about for years to come. When you mix things like music, culture, community, and cannabis all based around a purpose, that’s when shit gets real. We’re bringing Faces of Cannabis to Boston for the first time, and that alone should help create something special. Add in this lineup, this energy, and this cause? Can’t fucking wait!.”
