Hello sweet portal,
we meet once more.
It took only two puffs
to open the door.

The voices have quieted,
and heartbeat has slowed.
My feet keep me rooted
as I start to decode.

She moves through me softly
so that I remain open
to the deep inner knowing
that toking's the token.

Yes, toking's the key
and the ego the lock.
Whether or not
you've been ‘round this block,

all are invited
to the cannabis space.
Come, sit by me,
I saved you a place.

But first, listen closely,
and look into my eyes.
You must know that this portal
contains a surprise.

It's a feeling of lightness,
a smooth rush of pleasure.
The goodness of cannabis -
impossible to measure.

Yet many have tried to,
for sheer validation
that getting high truly
does feel like vacation.

As if we need experts
to tell us this truth,
when it's not all that hard
to be your own sleuth.

Simply roll up some herb
and light it on fire.
In just a few seconds,
this plant will inspire

a new state of being,
a poem, a song.
This gift has been waiting
for you all along.

Let nothing dissuade you
from internal joy.
Illegalization
is only a ploy

to keep you from Source
without any remorse,
much like the corral
that encircles a horse.

You, too, are wild,
not meant to be caged.
You, too, must run free
amongst yarrow and sage.

The portal is yours,
just as it is mine.
I promise the trip is
completely divine.

There is nothing to fear,
and I've held the door open,
so you too can illuminate
just where you are broken.

Mary will meld with
your wounds and your bruises,
for she can heal you
anywhere she so chooses.

With trust, you inhale
as long as you please,
the relief may just bring you
down to your knees.

This is a good thing -
to be humble is pure.
No more will you be
the person you were.
