Veterans Cannabis Care and Grove Bags Launch Veteran Appreciation Fundraiser: 100 Free Medical Marijuana Cards, and Funding to Reach Hundreds More
ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 13, 2026) Veterans Cannabis Care (VCC), a Florida-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to reducing financial and administrative barriers to healthcare access for Veterans, and Grove Bags, the cannabis packaging company behind TerpLoc technology, today announced a partnership built around two launches: a limited-edition collaboration bag from Grove Bags’ fourth-quarter production run, and FREE: A Day of Veteran Appreciation, a one-day fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 29, where VCC will cover the full cost of a Florida medical marijuana card for 100 Veterans and raise funds to certify hundreds more in 2027.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at VFW Post 4287, 3500 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. Admission is free for Veterans. Obtaining a Florida medical marijuana card costs a Veteran $275 once the physician evaluation and state fees are added up, and VA physicians are barred by federal policy from completing state certification forms. VCC removes that cost entirely.
Every Veteran who attends leaves with more than a card. Sponsors across the cannabis industry are donating merchandise, accessories, wellness services and gift bags, and each Veteran will receive a bag of donated goods to take home. Sponsors are also funding cash gifts awarded to selected Veterans on the day.
“Every Veteran who walks into the VFW on November 29 leaves with a medical card they didn’t have to pay for, plus a bag of merchandise, accessories and services donated by our sponsors. That’s what FREE means,” said Robb Harmon, Founder of Veterans Cannabis Care. “Cost is still the reason a lot of Florida Veterans go without legal access. Grove Bags stepped up early and put their name, their production run and their network behind changing that. Veterans have earned a day built entirely around them, and every dollar raised that day puts another Veteran into the program.”
The co-branded Grove Bags pouch carries original artwork by dNASAb, whose wellness platform the bag also links to. The front of the bag reads “Free Access for Veterans.” QR codes on both faces open VCC’s free wellness platform, created and built by dNASAb at Inner-Work, which offers guided breathing sessions, sound healing, affirmations, a VCC public service message, and a direct link to the Veterans Cannabis Care donation page. The bag features Grove Bags’ TerpLoc technology and a functional bottom-gusset pouch.
The event will feature food trucks, live music, a DJ stage, a medical relief tent and vendor booths from Florida dispensaries and cannabis brands. The day is funded entirely through sponsorships from cannabis businesses, with no ticket sales and no cost to Veterans. Supporters include VFW Post 4287, Eden, Connected, Alien Labs, INSA, Jungle Boys, The Flowery, Inner-Work, dNASAb, Higher Innovation, Fat Nugs Magazine, Canna Brand Solutions, CCELL, Oraganji, Green Dispensary Marketing, Cheech and Chong Global, Green Lane Communication, Sunnyside, Trulieve, Grow Healthy, Fino Cannabis, Curaleaf, Torch Drinks, and Marijuana Express M.D.
“Our whole company is built on protecting what growers put into the plant, and Veterans deserve that same level of care,” said Lance Lambert, Chief Marketing Officer of Grove Bags. “Robb and his team have spent years clearing the path to legal access for Florida Veterans. We wanted this bag to carry something extra, so every one of them connects a Veteran to free wellness tools and to the support VCC offers. We’re proud to stand with VCC in Orlando and to bring our community into it.”
Cannabis businesses can still join. A $275 contribution covers one Veteran’s medical card in full, and companies can also sponsor cash gifts or donate merchandise, accessories and services for the take-home bags. Indoor and outdoor vendor spaces are open on a first-paid, first-placed basis. Sponsor logos will appear on a 15’ X 15” event banner and in VCC’s event communications. Sponsorship registration is available at https://www.veteranscannabiscare.org/sponsors/
The partnership builds on VCC’s “250 Veterans. 250 Years.” campaign, which filled every available spot at its 2026 events in Orlando, Cocoa Beach and Tampa. Since its founding in 2021, VCC has helped more than 1,400 Veterans enroll in Florida’s Medical Marijuana Program at no cost to them.
Veterans who want to attend can register at www.veteranscannabiscare.org/Nov29 starting Oct. 15th 2026.
