No costumes, no expo floor — just the people building this industry, in Brooklyn on October 20
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: BROOKLYN, N.Y. — October 5, 2026 — The Mycelia Group (TMG) will host the 2nd Annual Haunted Sesh on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. ET at a private venue in Brooklyn. The location is released to guests on RSVP. The Halloween networking event, open by invitation and by approved application, is expected to draw more than 300 cannabis executives, operators, investors, attorneys and advisors for a single evening built around access rather than attendance.
Applications to attend are open now and are reviewed on a rolling basis until the room is full.
Now in its second year, Haunted Sesh is produced by TMG, the New Jersey–based consultancy behind the firm’s Executive Access Series and a slate of immersive industry events. Roughly a dozen national cannabis media outlets, including High Times and Fat Nugs Magazine, are promoting the 2026 edition.
A Halloween event with the costumes taken out
Haunted Sesh runs on a deliberate inversion of the industry party. There are no costumes — the dress code is casual, with 90s clothing welcome but never required — and no open-floor badge scramble. Admission is by invitation or approved application only, which keeps the room weighted toward people who can actually move a deal rather than toward foot traffic.
The format reflects a broader shift in how cannabis operators are spending their event budgets. As margins tighten and consolidation accelerates, large expo-floor conferences compete for the same hours as smaller, curated convenings where a four-hour window can replace a quarter of outreach. Haunted Sesh is built for that second category: one room, one night, a capped headcount.
Production leans into the Halloween frame through immersive activations rather than booths. The 2026 build includes a D.A.R.E.-parody “Re-Education” installation that sends guests home with a certificate, a trick-or-treat circuit stocked by participating brands, and sponsor-built environments staged inside the venue’s raw industrial footprint — a signature of TMG’s event work.
“We don’t like to just throw events; we love to create one-of-a-kind memories. More importantly, everyone in that room is carrying a problem they haven’t solved yet, whether it’s capital, licensing, a partner, a hire. No booths, no sales teams. This is how we solve a few of them. We build the room, the activations, and let our guests enjoy the rest without the pressure of a trade show.” — Jessica Ferranti, Founder & CEO, The Mycelia Group
