Beard Bros LA Live Sesh Event Recap

I attended the Beard Bros Live Sesh in LA, and it did not disappoint! This lucky gal attended the very first Live Sesh in January 2024, and I’m so glad to see this event continue to provide an excellent experience for community and networking.

Beard Bros LA Live Sesh Event Recap

Location, Location, Location

We all know how important a venue can be for an event, and the Smogshoppe was perfect! It was the ultimate in California cool with plenty of outdoor space and the best vibe. Tables, sofas, and chairs were plentiful and created an easy way to chill and connect. Live plants cover the walls, and the lighting at night added a cozy mood as the daylight faded.

Of Course, We Ate Tacos

No matter what event you attend, if food is offered, people will always remember what was served, and here the taco buffet complemented the experience. With options from beef, chicken, and shrimp, plus great-tasting sauces and sides, what else do you need?

Activations, Connections, Community, and Network

On to the main event, why we came! The Beard Bros are all about community and connecting in their philosophy and networking. Last week’s gathering was damn close to just right. Having activations engages people, but too much can distract from the conversation. I feel the number of activations and what they represented was well curated.

Everyone loves to smile for the camera, so one could stand in front of the step and repeat, which is great for a large group photo. What’s more engaging? Stash Bag Data and Kenya Alexander-Davis brought the fun with their photo booth. It was the kind where 3 – 4 of us cozy up and make faces, perfect for this intimate event. This activation gave the options of still photo or a moving montage of several pics put together. You may have seen some of these photos on LinkedIn already.

The Cannabis Options

Infused beverage? No problem. Almora offered up their Pomberry Rose Lemonade in a spritzer. You could choose 5, 10, 15 + mg to your liking for a refreshing libation.

Flower Power? Of course. There were amazing flower choices rated by Budist, and served by Budist’s very own Jocelyn Sheltraw and Claudio Miranda. Additionally, PAX showed off their newest flower vaporizer, The Flow. This was a highlight for me! As someone who loves flower, but needs to protect lung health, I love a dry herb vaporizer. I’ve been watching this new device from its launch, and I’ll just say, wow! I owned an original PAX, so I knew it would be good.

Professional joint roller Bruno (IYKYK) rolled amazing joints, as usual. What a treat to watch his craft and chat with you at the same time. His skills are top-rated!

Swag Bag

Yes, we all love swag, but how many lighters and lanyards does one need? The swag bag is always memorable, and our bag was spot on!

It was well curated, with a lovely Almora spritzer, a vape from Jetty, a PAX vape, my favorite edibles on the market, Kanah Minis, and a very fun joint and lighter holder from Dina Nagib of Grass Goddess Consulting.

Cannabis Community is Everything

Activism is essential in our industry, and the Beard Bros, along with many of us, support groups such as Freedom Grow. The event also held a ticket raffle with some amazing prizes from PAX, High on Plants, and Puffco, to encourage people to buy tickets and raise money to support those still incarcerated on cannabis charges.

While he didn’t see it coming, everyone sang happy birthday to Bill Levers as the evening was winding down, and I could tell he was flattered.

Yes, I had a great time, but most importantly, these events are about connection – the amazing people I know from a Beard Bros event, and the new people I meet each time. Amirose Eisenbach and  Radaint J, created an amazing event to support the Beard Bros’ vision of community and networking. No doubt, we’ll see future collaborations from the Live Sesh, and I hope to see you at the next one!
