Fat Nugs Magazine Returns as Official Media Partner for the Second Consecutive Year

REYKJAVÍK, Iceland — From September 18-20, 2026, Health for the Future will welcome physicians, scientists, researchers, patient advocates, policymakers, entrepreneurs, innovators and healthcare leaders from around the world to the historic IÐNÓ Culture House in the heart of Reykjavík for three days dedicated to shaping the future of health.

Originally launched as Hemp for the Future, the conference has evolved into Health for the Future, reflecting an expanded vision that reaches far beyond a single discipline. Today, the summit serves as an international platform where experts from diverse backgrounds come together to explore the intersection of medicine, scientific discovery, prevention, longevity, plant medicine, innovation, sustainability, human rights and patient-centered care.

Attendees can expect a dynamic program featuring internationally respected keynote speakers, engaging panel discussions, interactive workshops, wellness experiences and valuable networking opportunities designed to inspire meaningful collaboration across disciplines.

This year’s conference will feature internationally recognized experts including Dr. Ethan Russo, Dr. Bonni Goldstein, Dr. Tina Horsted, Dr. Zubin Marolia, along with physicians, researchers and advocates representing Iceland and countries across the globe. Together, they will examine some of today’s most pressing health topics, including medical science, women’s health, mental health, plant-based therapeutics, longevity research, innovation, public policy, environmental stewardship and the future of preventative healthcare.

The conference opens on September 18 with an Immersion Day featuring workshops, expert roundtables and a welcome gathering designed to foster meaningful conversation before the main summit begins. The full conference continues on September 19-20, offering attendees two days of internationally focused programming centered on education, collaboration and practical solutions.

For the second consecutive year, Fat Nugs Magazine has been named the Official Media Partner of Health for the Future. The publication will provide comprehensive coverage throughout the event, including interviews, photography, editorial features and behind-the-scenes storytelling that highlights both the groundbreaking conversations taking place and the people driving them.

Representing Fat Nugs Magazine onsite will be Founder and Editor-at-Large Dustin Hoxworth alongside photographer Derrall Peach, documenting the conference through exclusive reporting, professional photography and multimedia coverage from Reykjavík.

“Returning as the official media partner for a second year is an honor for everyone at Fat Nugs Magazine,” said Dustin Hoxworth, Founder and Editor-at-Large of Fat Nugs Magazine. “Health for the Future has become one of the most important international gatherings for people who believe healthcare should be driven by science, compassion, innovation and collaboration. We’re excited to once again help tell the stories of the remarkable people coming together in Iceland to shape what the future of health can become.”

Founder Þórunn “Tóta” Þórs Jónsdóttir says the continued growth of the conference demonstrates a global desire for more open, collaborative conversations about healthcare.

“Every year we see more people from different countries, professions and backgrounds coming together with a shared purpose of improving human health,” said Þórunn Þórs Jónsdóttir, Founder of Health for the Future. “What excites me most about this year’s conference is not only the extraordinary lineup of speakers, but the relationships, ideas and collaborations that will grow from these conversations. We are honored to welcome our returning partners, speakers and attendees back to Reykjavík as we continue building a truly international community focused on creating a healthier future for everyone.”

With attendance intentionally limited to just 210 participants, Health for the Future offers an intimate environment where attendees can engage directly with speakers, researchers and fellow innovators while building lasting professional relationships.

Health for the Future and founder Þórunn Þórs Jónsdóttir have previously been featured by Forbes, High Times, GreenState, Fat Nugs Magazine, and numerous international podcasts and media outlets, reflecting the growing global interest in the conference and its mission to advance conversations surrounding health, medicine and human wellbeing.
