The Plug Society to Launch Free Platform Connecting Cannabis Businesses with Trusted Ancillary Vendors, Project Management Tools, Community Hub, and Rating System

Detroit, MI – October 10, 2025 The Plug Society today announced the official launch of its B2B platform on October 23, 2025, giving cannabis brands, cultivators, processors, and retailers free access to a centralized system designed to streamline collaboration with ancillary vendors, including packaging, hardware, compliance, analytics, marketing partners and more.

The platform combines ancillary vendor resources, project management tools, and community features into one trusted hub, helping licensed operators connect with vetted partners, manage projects efficiently, and bring accountability to the supply chain.

Key features at launch include:

  • Project management tools to streamline and manage work with ancillary vendors
  • Project Planner to help startups to enterprise level businesses identify all vendors needed to complete a specific project
  • Plug-Verified rating system based on real deals closed, ensuring trust and accountability
  • AI-powered documents and business tools to accelerate better decision-making
  • Exclusive vendor resources and deals
  • Community hub for events, media, education, and regulatory insights

How It Works

The Plug Society makes it easy for cannabis operators to plan and execute any project, whether they are building out a new facility, launching an infused pre-roll or vape line, or starting a marketing campaign for a dispensary chain. Our Project Planner essentially acts as a starter ERP system, allowing teams to plan, budget, and forecast effectively, analyze true cost of products including OpEx, eliminate multiple Google Sheets and more.

Brands can enter a prompt describing their project, and the system automatically generates a recommended project and vendor stack tailored to their needs. This helps identify the full scope of vendors required, expected budgets, timelines, and deliverables before work begins.

Operators are not required to use The Plug Society’s listed vendors in the early phases. They can easily add their own vendors, invite them into the platform to collaborate, or chat within the system to keep all communications in one place.

Within the next five to six months, The Plug Society will also roll out several CRM integrations, allowing users to connect their preferred CRMs, send project data directly to them, and pull updates back into The Plug Society for complete two-way visibility.

“It’s essentially a starter-level ERP system for free that everyone can use together,” said Rothstein. “It’s about giving cannabis businesses real structure and tools without the cost or complexity that usually come with enterprise systems.”

Building a Trusted Foundation

The Plug Society launches with a strong lineup of 20+ trusted vendor partners already onboard, including Sorting Robotics, Hummingbird Preroll Systems, Accelerant, Swiss Cones, ARO Connection, Würk, Dope CFO, Hybrid Marketing Co., Essential Terpenes, The Hemp Collect, Aim & Fire, Tact Firm, ICI Bioscience, Digiboards, S10 Labs, CILICON, Prodigy USA, and Canalytics.

Several affiliate partners are preparing to join the network next, including PIPP Horticulture & Mobile Racking, Vuber Technologies, Vape Jet, Dyspensr, Joint Commerce, SofTrim, CannaSpyglass, Grove Bags, and EFLO.

“Our goal is to build this platform from the ground up with the most trusted, credible partners in cannabis,” said co-founder Adam Rothstein. “Every partner company we bring in strengthens the foundation, and we are visiting each partner at their headquarters to make sure those relationships are as real and personal as the network itself.” He added, “The end goal once enough trust and deals have flowed through the platform is to allow as many vendors as possible to join.”

Expanding Industry Collaboration

To complement its vendor ecosystem, The Plug Society is also partnering with leading media and research organizations, including Fat Nugs Magazine, Beard Bros Pharms, and MITA, as well as Management Science Associates and several event & non-profit organizations. The platform’s community hub will also work with select universities and regulatory bodies to share verified, educational, and compliance-related information that benefits the industry as a whole.

A Balance of Suits and Roots

The Plug Society was co-founded by Adam Rothstein, a cannabis industry veteran known for blending corporate process with authentic cannabis culture, a balance he calls “suits and roots.”

The idea for The Plug Society was born long before it had a name. In early 2021, Rothstein had just joined a startup hardware manufacturer and quickly became one of the most visible figures on the trade show circuit, attending 42 shows in just 12 months. Along the way, he began seeing the same ancillary vendors more than his own family and friends.

“Inevitably, those people became family,” Rothstein said. “Everyone I met was working hard to build something, but most of them didn’t know each other. They were all solving similar problems in isolation. I realized that by simply asking what people needed and plugging them into the right vendor, I could create real value for everyone.”

Over the next four and a half years, that personal network evolved into something much bigger, a trusted web of ancillary vendors that shared information, resources, and opportunities. Rothstein turned that grassroots ecosystem into a structured business plan, laying the foundation for what is now The Plug Society, a centralized B2B platform designed to help the entire industry grow together.

“Most importantly, beyond building the platform, we help get deals done. We act as an extension of our vendor partners’ sales teams, while also taking weight off brands, cultivators, processors and retailers who already have too much on their plate. The vendors are vetted, the network is trusted, and the focus is on pushing real opportunities through the pipeline.”

Looking Ahead

Even before its official debut, The Plug Society has established a strong foundation with over 20 vendor partners, multiple affiliates, and a growing network of brands, cultivators, processors, and retailers registering for free ahead of launch.

“Our goal is to make it easier for cannabis businesses to succeed by giving them the tools they need at no cost,” Rothstein added. “When the industry collaborates in one place, everybody wins.”

After the launch, The Plug Society will continue traveling with its vendor partners to visit facilities and expos, helping all businesses from startup to enterprise level.
