Texas HempstaLK 2025: A Revolutionary Celebration of Hemp, Freedom, and Innovation Comes to Texas This Memorial Day Weekend

Webberville, TX – April 15, 2025 – This Memorial Day Weekend, something revolutionary is blooming deep in the heart of Texas. On May 24–25, the Texas Music River Ranch in Webberville will transform into a living, breathing celebration of hemp, freedom, and innovation as it hosts Texas HempstaLK 2025 – a bold evolution of the grassroots festival originally born in Portland, Oregon.

No longer just a protest or a party, HempstaLK has matured into a living blueprint for conscious gatherings – where ancient ritual meets immersive tech, where soil meets sovereignty, and where plant-based healing becomes the heartbeat of cultural revival.

At the helm is musician, activist, and regenerative visionary Justin James Bridges, joined by Paul Stanford, founder of the original Portland Hempstalk and a four-decade warrior for cannabis reform. Stanford will deliver Saturday’s keynote, calling for action with the same fire that helped shift national policy. On Sunday, Casper Leitch, known worldwide as the “Father of Marijuana Television” and creator of Time 4 Hemp, will close the weekend with a reflection on legacy, media, and the movement’s evolution.

This year, Texas HempstaLK makes a powerful leap forward in agricultural advocacy, welcoming Sid Miller, 12th Commissioner of the Texas Department of Agriculture. His participation signals growing interest in hemp as a sustainable crop in the Lone Star State. He will be joined by Russell Jessup, AgriLife Research hemp breeder and professor at Texas A&M, who will speak on regenerative practices, soil science, and hemp’s potential to restore both land and livelihood.

But the real magic lies in the experience. Three distinct stages will showcase a musical tapestry stretching from legendary icons to rising stars. Expect sonic brilliance from P-Funk All-Star Muruga Booker, Sikiru Adepoju, David Winans II, and Muruga Cosmic Boogie. The next generation follows with YO$#! (Yoshi) and Texas heat from DJ Redd & Yung Bill Rap Sumo of Swisha House, MadDabber710, the iconic DJ Frank White, and award-winning Texas country outfit Loose Screws & Rusty Hearts.

Meanwhile, the land itself becomes an interactive canvas. Sculptor Harry Hemp and his team will shape the monumental Hemp-Lime Throne, a regenerative art installation that invites visitors to sit, photograph, and feel the future beneath them. Hemp elder Joe Hickey Sr. will lead a ceremonial planting of hemp seeds – a simple, sacred act of rooting the future. The elegance of the plant takes center stage in The Hempwalk, an eco-fashion showcase curated by Milan Ludovico, blending sustainability with high style.

For fire and flair, Stoney Chicken Glass presents a Live Glassblowing Extravaganza featuring world-class flame-working artists like Salt, LaceFace, J Mass, and more. Sparks will fly as glass transforms before your eyes. And for the first time, the experience expands into the digital realm: powered by Illust.Space, the festival’s official AR platform partner, an immersive augmented reality scavenger hunt will guide guests through installations, partner booths, and magical surprises – all in the palm of your hand.

At its core, HempstaLK remains rooted in service and ceremony. The Veterans’ Green Zone, supported by Grunt Style Foundation and Citizen Green, offers veterans and their families plant-based healing, community connection, and sacred space. Nearby, the Kids Camp provides creativity, nature learning, and a safe environment for young visionaries to explore. And when the stars rise over the river, the After Midnight Experience begins – with cosmic soundscapes and curated activations that invite reflection, rhythm, and release.

The Web3Hemp Zone bridges ancient plants with decentralized platforms — featuring XR learning, NFT giveaways, blockchain-powered education rewards, and live onboarding into the metaverse. This is the next phase of cannabis culture: interactive, inclusive, and powered by purpose.

For those ready to step deeper into healing, on-site TCUP (Texas Compassionate Use Program) registration will be available thanks to Miracle Leaf San Marcos, offering discounted medical card access throughout the event.

“This isn’t just a music festival — it’s a movement,” says co-organizer Michael Kamp. “We’re gathering the tribes. Artists, farmers, educators, veterans, blockchain builders, and medicine keepers — this is our line in the soil.”

With sponsors like Frank Nitty and the WEB3 Gang, and global broadcast by Citizen Green TV to over 200 million viewers, the story doesn’t stop at the ranch. Media allies like FatNugz Magazine, Star Horizon Takes-U-Places Inc., and nonprofit partner KZSM-L 104.1 FM San Marcos True Community Radio are amplifying every note, every lesson, every seed planted in purpose.
