An Astronaut, the President, a race car driver, professional athlete, musician, artist, a park ranger, professional skateboarder…remember the things you dreamed about as a kid? How about what you always wanted to be when you grew up? Did you push to accomplish those things and reach those goals? How many of us can say we made those dreams a reality? My guess is there’s not many, but that’s exactly what one of the most talented, popular, accomplished, and fearless black female leaders did and continues to do…achieve her dreams.

Who moves into their car after reaching salary goals and homeownership? Who in their right mind continues to step on planes to a new destination every day for work when they don’t have to? Who dives headfirst into the unknown day after day when life has become exactly the way they always pictured it? Cannabis dreamers, that’s who!

Passion, drive, and love are the essential attributes of the overachieving, independent, dedicated, wildest of dreamers, who see that dream so vividly that not living it eats them up from the inside. There is no stopping, no slowing down, and no way anyone will keep them from reaching their true happiness. And in the world of Cannabis, we have that exact person gracing us with her words, posts, videos, connections and love for the plant and culture every single day.

Veronica Castillo is the Traveling Cannabis Writer We All Wish We Could Be! A new destination every day, with new connections, new scenery, and new ways to support the culture of Cannabis by exploring everything from farms to dispensaries, to technology companies and educational opportunities. All done with a fat blunt and heady high full of inspiration and motivation to share the world of Cannabis with anyone and everyone possible. Veronica is the ultimate advocate and driver of change that will continue to bring normalization and de-stigmatization into the forefront of all our minds.

Veronica is from the “best city in the south” – Miami, which she also calls the United Caribbean. She lives on the road capturing all things cannabis/hemp, and overall plant medicines. Veronica contributes to most of the top industry magazines, blogs, and publications, and leads a column with the MJ News Network. She’s also an equity partner at Skunk Magazine, and focuses much of her work on black, brown, and women owned businesses. She is a very vocal, culturally conscious, and an unapologetically supporter for change, diversity, inclusion, true equality, and fair treatment for all human beings, while literally dealing with and feeling the plight of being a minority woman in a very much white-male dominated industry. It takes true grit and courage to do the things she does daily, and Veronica has earned the respect of just about everyone in the Cannabis community and beyond.

When a leading Cannabis hospitality business realized just who Veronica was and the incredible amount of fascinating work she’s done, there was a match made in heaven! Sean Roby of Bud and Breakfast and Veronica began talking and within one week they agreed to a beautiful partnership. With over 1,000 hotels, resorts, and destinations, Bud and Breakfast, the premier Cannabis friendly hospitality listing company decided it was time to fully embrace the culture of Cannabis and let the world know exactly who they are through the eyes and talent of The Traveling Cannabis Writer.

The partnership is the first of its kind. Veronica and Bud and Breakfast will introduce us to what Cannabis hospitality can and probably should be, and although there are still some constraints and limitations to consumption on some properties, many cannabis friendly businesses are beginning to realize just how important it is to allow for onsite Cannabis consumption. Over the next few years, we’ll see a huge explosion of Cannabis friendly hospitality locations, and it’s a wonderful thing to see Veronica helping to lead that charge for us all!

For everyone out here watching Veronica do her thing, it’s a true pleasure. We get to live vicariously through her adventures, and we’re all here for it! That got me thinking though, what makes a great traveling Cannabis writer?

Veronica’s response was spot on:

“I think a great Cannabis writer is full of passion, purpose, and fearlessness. They love to learn so they can write, and through that writing they teach; teaching inspires, and through that, a great Cannabis writer contributes to evolution.” Could that be any more of a perfect response? You can feel the passion and love for the plant through her words. This is Cannabis Culture!

“I think a great Cannabis writer is full of passion, purpose, and fearlessness. They love to learn so they can write, and through that writing they teach; teaching inspires, and through that, a great Cannabis writer contributes to evolution.”

So, what’s the future hold for our favorite Traveling Cannabis Writer, and what are her goals and aspirations going forward? Veronica once again gives us a response worthy of the passionate Cannabis advocate, she is:

“When you grow up in a house full of love but not a lot of money, dreams seem so far away…so hard to reach. My goal in all of life was this. I wanted with every fiber of my being to be right here, a traveling writer that lives out of a suitcase traveling all around all the time. My bucket list went from hundreds to a handful. Most recently the goal of landing a partnership with Bud and Breakfast seemed so heavy and possibly out of reach, but I did it! I didn’t think beyond this because honestly if I died tomorrow, I am so beyond fulfilled! I’ve already done the corporate salary, building a big home, fence around my yard - that whole American dream thing that just left me meh. So, when I think of the future, I see this - with the added bonus of my house on wheels, international travel to cover all things Cannabis, and an abundance of love radiating from my tribe and community.”

Hold onto your hats folks, because it’s about to be a killer ride, with one of the dopest human beings on the planet, Ms. Veronica Castillo, the Traveling Cannabis Writer We All Wish We Could Be!
