Cannabis-Infused Lemon Drop Martini

This is one of my favorite beverages for summertime, and a good recommendation for those of us who gravitate towards flower with high amounts of the uplifting terpene, limonene —  the Lemon Drop Martini. 

This infused twist on a classic cocktail will lift you up – with the lingering effects the next day. It’s bright, it’s tart, it’s incredibly delicious, and very easy to make. This drink is perfect to enjoy in the summertime, or whenever you need a little brightness added to your day. 

Cannabis-Infused Lemon Drop Martini Recipe

Ingredients 

  • 2 ounces vodka (non alcoholic vodka)
  • 3/4 ounce (1 ½ tablespoons) Cointreau or triple sec
  • 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) fresh squeezed lemon juice (Juice from 1/2 large lemon)
  • 3/4 ounce (1 ½ tablespoons) infused simple syrup. This is equal to 15 mg THC. I used Shoogies, but you can make your own simple syrup at home. 
  • Ice
  • Lemon zest 
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • Optional: edible glitter from Fancy Sprinkles.

How to Make a Cannabis-Infused Lemon Drop Martini in 2 Steps

This quick and easy cannabis-infused drink is sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering. You can make it individually or mix a batch in a pitcher and let your guests serve their own, with lemon sugar on the side. However you choose to enjoy this, make sure THC beverages are always clearly labeled for guests! 

Instructions

  1. Make lemon sugar. 
    1. Zest the lemon.
    2. Add sugar to a plate then rub the zest into the sugar with your fingers until tinted yellow and fragrant.
  2. Make martini
    1. Moisten the rim of a chilled martini glass with the juiced lemon, turn the glass upside down and twist into the lemon sugar, set aside. 
    2. Add vodka, Cointreau (or triple sec), lemon juice, simple syrup and a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker. 
    3. Shake for 30 seconds or until very cold. 
  3. Strain into the prepared martini glass and serve immediately.
