Welcome to Blunt Horoscopes, your monthly guide to the cosmos. This month is June, 2025.
If the spring felt chaotic, or unusually busy, or was filled with false starts or unexpected endings, the month of June ought to apply a balm to the wounded parts of your life. For starters, we have Jupiter, the greater benefic, and the planet of abundance, growth, expansion, and luck moving into the sign of Cancer, which is also the sign of its exaltation. When a planet is exalted, it’s able to be the best version of itself and do its best work. Jupiter in Cancer is one of the best parts of 2025; expect blessings from the part of your chart that contains Cancer between June 9, 2025 and June 29, 2026.
In the Sky in June
Full Moon in Sagittarius
The full moon occurs in the sign of Sagittarius on June 11th at 1:43am MDT. This full moon is very much a mixed bag. Jupiter is the ruler of this full moon, which is in the moon’s home sign of Cancer. These two planets are in a beautiful, harmonious exchange, but Saturn is at a tense angle to Jupiter. You may feel that something in your life is ready to level up, or to be offered to the public, but you could discover that something on your “to-do” list hasn’t been completed. This doesn’t mean that anything is doomed, it just means you may have to pause and make final adjustments. Saturn just wants to ensure that all of your homework is finished. This lunation could leave you feeling frustrated or that nothing is good enough, but there’s no reason to despair. Starting over is not the same as failure.
Sun Moves into Cancer
At 8:42pm MDT on June 20th, the Sun will move into the sign of Cancer. This also marks the summer solstice, which is the longest day and the shortest night of the year. From here, the days will begin to shorten until the winter solstice in December. While the sun is in Cancer, reflect on how you care for yourself and others; the act of self-care is deeply Cancerian. Cancer rules the home and the family, so you might consider sprucing up your living space.
New Moon in Cancer
The new moon on June 25th is a far kinder lunation than the one we had earlier this month. This new moon falls in the sign of Cancer. The Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Jupiter are all together in the sky. This new moon will offer loving reassurance as you begin a new project. If the full moon kicked your work back to the starting line, expect the new moon to help you clean up the mess and set up a do-over. This is also a wonderful time to begin something new. If you want to start a personal project or a career goal, use the new moon to begin.
Zodiac Horoscopes for June 2025
Aries (March 20 – April 19)
Saturn moved into Aries and your first house of self, identity, vitality, and your appearance on May 24th. Saturn spends about 3 years in any given sign, so it will be here until April 12, 2028. Neither your first house, nor the sign of Aries, is an easy place to have Saturn. The planet of structure, rules, limitations, bones, and reaping what you’ve sowed struggles in the hard-charging, and impulsive sign of Aries.
Over the next three years, you’ll be asked to examine how you accept or reject responsibility, how you tackle lengthy tasks, and how you display perseverance. Unlike Jupiter, which tosses out gifts and luck like plastic beads from a Mardi Gras float, Saturn chooses to reward hard work on a case-by-case basis. What are you striving for right now and how will you accomplish it? Make a plan and stick to it.
Taurus (April 19 – May 20)
On the evening of June 5th, the planet Venus will enter the sign of Taurus. Venus went retrograde in the signs of Aries and Pisces back in March, and the planet of love, beauty, and sweetness is still moving pretty slowly. Venus is the planetary ruler of Taurus, which means this planet is at home and comfortable from June 5th until July 4th. This is a great time to refresh your wardrobe, learn a new makeup technique, update your jewelry stash, or freshen your hairstyle. Giving yourself a refresh or a rebrand while Venus is in your 1st house will help ensure that you’re still happy with your choices a few months from now. On July 4th, Venus will move into your second house of earned income, showing some love and sweetness to your bank account.
Gemini (May 20 – June 20)
Until July 20th, the sun is in your first house. You may find that the spotlight is on you wherever you go, or that your ideas are the most popular in the group. When the sun is in your first house, as it is right now, it sheds warmth and light, helping you to stand out amongst your peers. This happens once a year, so enjoy the attention while you’re able.
Jupiter has been transiting the sign of Gemini, and giving a boost to your identity and your self-worth, since May 25, 2024. On June 9th, the planet of expansion, luck, and optimism will move into your second house of earned income, bringing growth to your bank account and other financial resources. The day before, on June 8th, Mercury will make its final conjunction with Jupiter in the sign of Gemini. Use this day to ask for a favor, or to send an email blast to all of your clients and customers.
Cancer (June 20 – July 22)
There are two prominent transits happening for you right now. On June 9th, Jupiter enters your first house of self, identity, and vitality, and it will be there until June 29, 2026! Jupiter tends to toss out gifts and luck willy-nilly, so this is a fantastic transit and a great time to invest in personal development. Pick one or two growth points you’d like to accomplish over the next year and make a plan. With Jupiter on your side, you’re sure to hit your mark! The last time this happened was between June 25, 2013, and July 16, 2014. How did you grow, or what gifts did you receive during that time?
The downside of having Jupiter in your first house is that it can make you overly generous. Remember that you cannot pour from an empty pitcher; take care of yourself first so that you may have the privilege of caring for others. In addition, the sun will be in your first house at the same time between June 20th and July 22nd. The sun sheds light and warmth wherever it goes, helping you to stand out in a crowded room. Get out and mingle!
Leo (July 22 – August 22)
The planet Mercury will enter Leo, and your first house of vitality, self, and identity on June 26th. This is an asset to your personal communication. If you need to give a pitch, or a presentation, or if you need to have an uncomfortable conversation with a friend or a roommate, Mercury will help you make your points clearly and concisely. Here’s the tricky part: on July 17th, Mercury will turn retrograde at 15° of Leo, and then the planet of communication will backtrack to 4° of the same sign. You may have heard that a Mercury retrograde is a time prone to communication snafus and do-overs. As the planet moves backwards in the sky, some people are forced to redo work they had already completed. Try to handle any critical communication points before August, in order to prevent the likelihood of having to tackle them a second time.
Virgo (August 22 – September 22)
You’re always a diligent worker, Virgo, and you’re about to get an added boost to help you complete anything that’s been holding you back. On June 17th, the planet of courage, drive, and ambition will enter the sign of Virgo. This will give you increased focus to finish any small or tedious tasks that have been hanging over your head. Need to wipe down the baseboards? Need to clean out the garage? Need to take old electronics to be properly recycled? Mars transiting through Virgo will help you march right through your chores.
On the flip side, the urge to rush through your day can make you impatient or even irritable (this is especially true if you were born in the daytime or if you have Mars above the horizon in your own natal chart.) Mars will be in Virgo until August 6th, when it will move into Libra. Remember to reward yourself!
Libra (September 22 – October 22)
On May 24th, Saturn moved into Aries and your 7th house of marriage, partnerships, and long-term relationships. Saturn will be in this sign until April 12, 2028, as it spends about 3 years in any given sign. Wherever it goes, Saturn brings weight and responsibility. Your most important relationships may demand more from you over the next few years. In some cases, the weight may become unsustainable, or you may find that the added responsibilities bring you closer together. Some relationships flower under pressure, and some crumble. As a Libra, the pursuit of balance is important to you, so start communicating about what’s expected and what can’t be tolerated.
Scorpio (October 22 – November 21)
The new moon on June 25th could see you packing your bags for foreign beaches. The sign of Cancer rules your 9th house of foreign travel, spirituality, and higher education. This lunation will mark some sort of new beginning for you. This could be a great time to take a meditation class, join a religious community, or enroll in a class at a local community college. If you’ve been meaning to do a quick weekend getaway, choose a spot near water for added benefit. If you’ve been pondering a spiritual or religious mystery, expect to receive a grain of wisdom. Give yourself permission to follow any seeds of curiosity that are planted around this time.
Sagittarius (November 21 – December 21)
You’re the star of the show at the full moon in Sagittarius on June 11th. Something could be culminating around a committed relationship or a contracted partnership. It’s possible that this relationship (whether business or romantic) isn’t bringing you the joy that it once did. Or, it’s possible that resources or expenses aren’t being shared fairly. Do your best to handle this with patience and kindness. Blowing up at someone who has wronged you might feel good, but it does nothing for the longevity of the partnership. Remember that the new moon at the end of the month will help to patch up some of the damage kicked up by the full moon.
Capricorn (December 21 – January 19)
When Jupiter moves into Cancer on June 9th, it will also move into your 7th house of committed partnerships. If you’re single, this could bring abundant choices in potential partners. If you’re already committed to someone, this could bring expansion in how you experience that relationship. Get ready to have old patterns knocked sideways! If family game night has gotten stale or if you’re weary of the same old date-night place, then have the courage to try something new. With Jupiter in this sign, your suggestions are likely to be well heard and rewarded.
Aquarius (January 19 – February 18)
Watch your words, Aquarius. At the full moon on June 11th, something you said or wrote could have you in hot water with your community. This could be a group of friends, colleagues, or people you know from the neighborhood. Saturn in your 3rd house of communication is in a tense angle to Jupiter in your 6th house of chores, daily work, and health. Did someone volunteer you to bake cupcakes for the neighborhood block party or the church picnic? If you’re irritated about what your community expects from you, finding a way to delegate the task is the best way to handle it, rather than sulking or spitting fire. The new moon later in the month should help you smooth over any rough patches.
Pisces (February 18 – March 20)
I have good news for you, Pisces. Since March 7, 2023, Saturn has been transiting through the sign of Pisces. If you’ve been doubting yourself, your strengths, or your capabilities, expect to get a reprieve from that as Saturn moves on. Or, if you’ve been dealing with added work or responsibilities in your life, expect to get a break from that. Saturn can also bring melancholy when it’s in the sign of the fishies. On May 24th, Saturn moved into the sign of Aries. Saturn will retrograde back here from September 1st to February 13th, 2026. Most likely, Saturn has taught you everything it wanted to teach you, so you don’t need to be too worried about the remaining five months.
Monthly Ritual: Gemini Season
Gemini season invites you to spark conversation, explore ideas, and embrace spontaneity. Ruled by Mercury, the sign of the twins moves quickly, hopping from topic to topic and from place to place. Use this ritual to further explore the sign of Gemini.
What You’ll Need:
- A light, energizing sativa or hybrid strain (for example, Jack Herer, Super Lemon Haze, or Blue Dream) or any other strain that helps you feel creative and chatty. Or, look for strains that contain the terpenes beta caryophyllene, limonene, a-pinene, or alphapinene.
- A notebook or voice recorder app
- Something with wheels (such as roller skates, a bike, or a scooter, or metaphorical movement, like a new podcast).
- A curious companion (optional, but encouraged)
Step 1: Spark + Speak
Roll a joint or pack a bowl and take a moment to light up with intention. Before your first puff, ask yourself: “What’s one idea I’ve been meaning to share? What conversation am I ready to have?” If you’re with a friend or neighbor, exchange stories or quirky facts. Gemini energy thrives on playful banter and fresh thoughts. If you’re flying solo, try recording a voice note or freewriting in a notebook.
Step 2: Move + Muse
Let your cannabis buzz lead you into movement. Gemini energy often craves motion. Go roller skating, cruise the neighborhood on your bike, or dance around your living room. Let music, fresh air, or your own child-like curiosity guide the experience.
Step 3: Close with Curiosity
As you come back to center, reflect on one new thing you learned, noticed, or laughed about during the ritual. Write it down or share it with someone. Gemini energy loves to travel, and sharing keeps the energy moving.
