Daniel Crawford

Chief Operations Officer

Daniel has been part of Fat Nugs Magazine since the very
first spark of its existence. Long before FNM became a respected voice in independent cannabis media, Daniel was there beside Dustin, helping shape not
just what the publication would become, but how it would feel. If Dustin is the
fire that pushes boundaries and challenges systems, Daniel is the calm that
grounds everything in compassion, patience, and heart. Together, they create
the balance that defines Fat Nugs Magazine.

Now based in Minnesota, Daniel brings that same spirit of care and responsibility into everything he does, both inside and outside of FNM. He believes deeply in standing up for people, protecting communities, and pushing back against systems that harm or dehumanize others. His support of peaceful
resistance to ICE practices and his broader critique of government overreach comes from the same place as everything else he does: love, empathy, and a fierce commitment to human dignity. Daniel doesn’t lead with anger. He lends with companion, education, and a belief that change starts when people choose to care for one another.

In many ways, Daniel represents the very
best of what Fat Nugs stands for: respect, care, authenticity, and community.

As COO, Daniel wears many hats. He is a writer, an
award-winning cultivator, and a highly respected solventless extractor. More than anything, he is a passionate advocate for quality cannabis and cannabis
culture. Known affectionately as “Weed Jesus” and the “Terpene Whisperer,” Daniel brings over 20 years of cultivation experience and
organoleptic expertise to everything he touches. His background in pharma, dairy, brewing, and organic farming gives him a rare and deeply informed understanding of quality and integrity.

Beyond the industry. Daniel is a father, mentor, coach, music lover, and community builder. Without Daniel’s peace, love, and humanity. Fat Nugs Magazine might never have found its balance between fire and care, strength and love, or resistance and compassion.

June Blankin

Brand & Events Coordinator

As early as her teen years, June recognized there was nothing to be feared about cannabis… it is a normal part of life! About 15 years ago, she acted as a citizen advocate within the NORML organization, and in 2021 her efforts were rewarded when Virginia became the first southern state to achieve legalization.

Taking her passion to the next level, June worked as a ‘patient care specialist’ at a medical dispensary while earning a graduate degree in Medical Cannabis and Therapeutics, the first of its kind in the nation. Her ongoing work within the cannabis universe is focused on removing stigmas and embracing all parts of this beautifully messy and fascinating culture.

Kyea Mofire

Photographer

Capturing the unique and endless colors of cannabis through photography is my happy place! Each strain has its own distinct color palette, making it a visually captivating subject. As a photographer, I find great joy in exploring the intricate details and nuances of these colors. Through photography, I am able to showcase the beauty and diversity of cannabis, debunking stereotypes and celebrating its natural splendor. Elevating it from a substance to a work of art, and inviting others to view cannabis as I do. A curious and extraordinary plant with endless potential benefits and cultural significance.

RN Collins

Fat Nugs Columnist

The first lesson Rayven-Nikkita (RN) Collins received from cannabis came in her grandmother’s backyard in Queens. Taking her aside, her father asked if she recognized the smell in the air and explained why he refused to call it “marijuana”—a term popularized in the early twentieth century to stigmatize the plant and the marginalized communities associated with it. As she grew older, RN learned that her great aunt even referred to her garden as her “medicine cabinet.”
Those early moments sparked a curiosity about nature and healing that later grew into a passion for the biology and medical potential of plant-based therapeutics.
RN is a neuroscientist and a law student at Northeastern University School of Law. She holds a Master of Science in Anatomy & Neurobiology, which provided the foundation to understand how plants affect us. She first studied entheogens in college and later worked with the Yale Program for Psychedelic Science, contributing to clinical research on psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAT) and helping develop a PAT medical education curriculum.
RN lives on Oahu, HI and writes about how psychoactive plant compounds interact with the brain and body while also communicating the evolving legal, regulatory, and policy landscape surrounding these plants.
She covers the science, medicine, and policy/regulatory space of cannabis and psychedelics as well as the series Ask a Neuroscientist!
