Fresh Pressed and Paired to Impress: Interview with Juiceman Fresh Piff

Juiceman is Changing the Flavor Game One Terpene Blend at a Time

In the ever-evolving cannabis industry, it’s not just cultivators and dispensaries making waves; ancillary businesses are carving out powerful lanes of their own. One standout is Juiceman Fresh Piff (@juicemanfp).

Who is Juiceman Fresh Piff?

Juiceman is a cold-pressed juice maker from Massachusetts who’s become a cult favorite among cannabis connoisseurs and budtenders across the East Coast. Known for never repeating a recipe and creating over 100 unique cannabis and juice pairings, Juiceman has turned terpene coordination into an art form. His “Rip & Sip” sessions, originally born at Interpretasting, have shown that when done right, cannabis pairing can be more than novelty; it can be an experience. In this interview, he shares his creative process, business philosophy, and why staying uninfused is a core part of the mission.

Q&A with Juiceman Fresh Piff

Bobby Nuggz: You’ve built a huge following in the cannabis space with your juice creations—can you take us back to the moment you made your first juice for a Maine dispensary pairing? What inspired that initial blend?

Juiceman: Five years ago, when we did the first cannabis pairing at Interpretasting, I didn’t know much about cannabis, besides that I liked smoking it. It was Bobby Nuggz’ idea to pair my juice blends with different strains of cannabis. We called this process a Rip and Sip terpene pairing, which truly is a one-of-a-kind heady stoner activity that can only be found at interpretasting.

BN: You’ve created over 100 unique juice and cannabis pairings—how do you go about matching flavor profiles with different strains, and what’s your creative process like?

Juiceman: Cannabis is diverse and complex, and each strain has something different, so to say. When I smoke the cultivar I’m supposed to pair, I just listen to the story it tells me, and that helps guide me to make the juice. The strain’s name, flavor, smell, effects, and terpenes all contribute to its vibe and message. So, then I interpret that my way, by pressing that intention into the juice

BN: You’re known for never making the same juice twice. What drives your commitment to constant innovation, and how do your fans react to that unpredictability?

Juiceman: I like to keep it fresh and switch it up. I just usually know how many bottles I must make for the week, and then the number of flavors is directly related to how much juice I must make. So, I’ll know how many flavors I’ll be making that week based on how many are pre-ordered. So then, for selecting the flavors of the week, there’s the first basic choice of if I want to make it sweet or sour. Then there’s which base ingredients I’ll use, whether it be apples, oranges, or pineapples. Then there’s accent ingredients, and this is everything else, so it can be like berries, carrots, beets, rhubarb, kale, or whatever- all the other stuff, etc., and these ingredients will guide that sweet or sour in other directions. So just that right there makes for so many flavor choices.

Then there’s the matter of ratio and intention. The same juice, let’s say red apple, carrot, and ginger. The apple is the base, and it’s usually similar to a sweet cider base. But the other ingredients, like the more carrots I use, the thicker and sweeter the juice is gonna be. And it’ll be more orange in color. The ginger, depending on how much I use, will take the juice in a different direction, and it’ll determine what size bite the juice has. It can be a little nip at the end of the sip, or it can be a snarling dog right at the gate.  Same ingredients but different ratios, and it makes a big difference and makes the juices totally different.

BN: Your brand has become a staple among budtenders and cannabis lovers. What role do you think your juices play in enhancing the cannabis experience for the community?

Juiceman: Juice is already a top-tier munchie and cotton-mouth killer, but also when consciously paired with cannabis, it makes for a unique coordinated terpene experience. I hope that I can keep my identity as a high-functioning stoner and show others outside of the community a little bit about how we do it. I can’t imagine a better combo than weed and juice; it’s exactly what I like. The cannabis community has embraced it too, and it’s validating to me that others also like it.

BN: As a successful ancillary cannabis business, what advice would you give to entrepreneurs looking to build a niche brand in the cannabis space—especially one that doesn’t directly touch the plant?

Juiceman: Believe truly in your product or don’t bother. It’s obvious when someone doesn’t care, and likely it won’t work out because it’s the love of what you do that persists when things get tough. When dealing with people, remember that the eyes are the window to the soul, so look intently when you want to know someone’s intentions. Trust your gut about people and be decisive. It’s not rude to set boundaries. Don’t make promises you don’t intend to keep. Don’t let someone’s clout determine your opinion of them, but rather your experience that you have with them. Work smart but don’t be lazy, it’s better you just work hard instead.

BN: Can you share a particularly memorable or surprising pairing that stood out from the 100+ you’ve done? Maybe one that people didn’t expect to work but blew them away?

Juiceman: I really don’t play favorites with my flavors because I think there’s a time and a place for them all. It’s impossible for me to choose a favorite pairing because each strain, just like the juice, has its own story to tell. Gassy strains get lots of ginger, fruity strains usually get the fruit of note (strawberry, blueberry, tangie). Some cultivators that I always like working with include Mr. Casey Greens, Ramble on Rosin, Ripple Wellness- I like real life dank ass sticky icky from small batches grown with care.

BN: Looking ahead, how do you envision the future of Fresh Piff—any plans for collaborations, events, or maybe even limited-edition collections that celebrate strain-specific experiences? Or how about an infused Juiceman gummy line giving the stoners what they want?

Juiceman: I made the choice at the beginning that I wanted to make the best-tasting, best-quality, cold-pressed fruit and vegetable juice, and that I never ever want to infuse it. Once you infuse the juice, it immediately becomes something different. I think what makes my juice so good is that it’s something that I fully believe in. I’ve never made an edible in my life, and I don’t think now or ever really is the right time to infuse it. Because the juice is special and I don’t want to risk ruining it. Bobby told me a long time ago that not everything needs to be infused, and I always reference that when I’m asked.

Moving forward is the same as before; I’m going to explore every and any opportunity that is presented or that I can create to bring awareness to my product and sell juice. I’m maniacal about growing my biz and making something of myself. My business goes as I go, so I will try to improve myself personally and grow along with the business so that I can continue to shoulder the weight of it. It’s obvious to me that it’s my destiny to make and sell juice, and as time passes, I realize that I’m capable of taking it far. So in the future, it’s just hard work, dedication, faith, and belief in myself that’s going to push me further along.

I want to thank everyone who has supported Juiceman to this point and to invite anyone reading this to DM me on IG to see what the hype is about. It’s the best juice around. You won’t be disappointed in the terps!
