Chief Revenue Officer, Holland Green Science • Mother • Leader • Kindness Dealer
The Hotbox with Dustin Hoxworth isn’t your polished PR interview. It’s me getting stoned and asking people the questions they probably aren’t ready for. These aren’t cold reads or copy-paste Q&As; I sit with my guests, usually multiple times, and I’ve likely met them in person, which gives me a window to learn who they really are before I ever send the questions. By the time the words hit the page, it’s smoke-thick honesty, not surface-level bullshit. These are cannabis conversations that showcase the voices, stories, and truths that won’t show up in the boardroom.
The Hotbox with Brittney Gore
Every now and then, you meet someone in this industry who runs on equal parts precision and heart. Someone who can walk into a chaotic situation, map the entire mess in seconds, build a plan, motivate people, and do it all with a calm, humanistic kindness that makes the room feel lighter. That’s Brittney Gore.
I’ve known Brittney for almost three years now, and I’ve watched her grow into a strong and compassionate leader in an industry that rarely gives anyone room to breathe. She brings her MBA-level strategic mind and her background in English education into every conversation, and you can feel it. She listens with care and elevates the people around her. She leads with both logic and empathy, and in cannabis, that’s a combination we all crave.
Her passion for operations began with a simple truth: she loves order, she loves clarity, and she loves helping people succeed. Whether she’s optimizing business processes, building teams, or navigating revenue strategy at Holland Green Science, Brittney’s approach is rooted in kindness, understanding, and compassion. She cares for the mission, her team, and the partners and clients who rely on her experience and calm presence.
Outside of work, she is grounded by family, married life, two beloved rescue dogs (Mollie and Charlie), a thriving garden, new food adventures, and the slow joy of Midwest sunshine when it finally decides to show up. That personal warmth carries into her leadership style in a way that makes people feel seen, supported, and valued.
I’m lucky to call Brittney a friend, and even luckier to have Holland Green Science as a Brand Partner with Fat Nugs Magazine. This conversation highlights exactly why.

The Hotbox Q&A: 5 Questions with Brittney Gore
You bring a rare blend of operational discipline and genuine human connection to your leadership. How do you balance high standards and efficiency while still creating a compassionate, people-centered culture?
I think the key is putting compassion and empathy first; it is hard to get others to meet you at a very high level if they do not feel respected, cared for, and valued. I have high standards for anyone who is in my life–from family and friends to coworkers–I expect people to always perform at their absolute best, and that can be daunting. However, I try my best to model this myself and show others that it’s possible to be more than efficient when you focus on people first and products second.
Your work spans complex operational systems, major projects, and high-stakes decisions, yet you maintain a calm, grounded presence. Where does that steadiness come from, and how does it shape the way you lead teams in this industry?
First and foremost, quality cannabis and rosin. I am a firm believer in the plant and use it regularly to keep myself grounded and calm–since I am a high-energy person and always looking for another task to add to my list, even when it’s overflowing. I do not think I would be nearly as steady in my work if I hadn’t taught for five years prior to making my career switch.
Teenagers teach you a lot, whether you want it or not. They are always present and always honest, and they forced me to behave in the same way to ensure a genuine connection. I want my team to know that they can depend on me, but that, honestly, they can do anything and everything without me. Our industry is always evolving, which can be stressful, but I try to look at it as an advantage. Everything is temporary, but how you treat others and present yourself will be remembered for a lifetime.
Cannabis often forces leaders to wear multiple hats and adapt quickly. What part of your journey, whether from education, family life, or personal passions, has prepared you most for the unpredictable nature of this space?
I come from a long line of blue-collar workers. My Papa and Dad both worked shift work my entire childhood, and each week was filled with multiple double shifts. However, once they were home, they were entirely present in their family roles. There was no time to be tired or complain because time was limited, especially with me, since my parents had me while still finishing high school. I never felt like a burden or as if I was taking time away from them, and that is exactly how I want others to feel when they are around me. The ability to adapt is important, but the ability to be present is the most important in my opinion.
Holland Green Science operates at the intersection of technology, innovation, and plant science. From your vantage point as CRO, what excites you most about the future of cannabis and the role your team is playing in shaping it?
As an Indiana girl, my eye is always on legalization, and I hope we see true equity in this country soon when it comes to cannabis accessibility. I am most excited to see cannabis used as true medicine. This is happening already, but I believe it is a right for everyone, and until that access is available globally, it is unjust.
The Xiros Mikro small freeze dryer we have created at Holland Green Science allows for high-quality hash to be produced and used in various methods: edibles, rosin, pre-rolls, etc. This excites me because I think medicine must be available in various methods to ensure that it can be properly consumed by all patients. The control and data logging our freeze dryer gives also allows processors to be more precise with their hash recipes and treat each strain differently to maximize quality.
You radiate kindness and professionalism in everything you do, and it’s something I’m lucky enough to get to experience firsthand. In a cannabis industry that can be intense and unforgiving, what keeps you inspired, energized, and committed to leading with heart?
I have been so fortunate with the connections I have made in this industry and all of those who have been willing to teach me along the way. While our industry is often unforgiving, I have found that the people I collaborate with are the most forgiving of all. I am constantly inspired by others in our industry, such as Low Temp Plates and Rosin Tech Labs, who are pushing the boundaries in the cannabis space and bringing high-quality options to the market. As a former teacher, nothing makes me happier than continued education, and I love seeing how people in our industry are coming together to educate not only one another but also those outside of the cannabis world. I am continually inspired by the plant and even more so by the people who are doing right by it and sharing it with the world.
